What is IndustryBrains?
IndustryBrains is the only performance-advertising
network that uses key word search and relevant contextual editorial targeting
on branded publisher sites to achieve superior advertising results for direct
response advertisers. Advertisers can target by industry, specific publication,
and relevant content areas to achieve the most cost effective ROI.

What is the value
of advertising with IndustryBrains?
IndustryBrains has partnered with the most powerful
and recognized brands on the web in key categories to enable advertisers
to reach qualified high-level decision-makers with buying power. Key word
search and contextual advertising is by nature an efficient way to market.
However, by partnering with leading sites in each category, marketers
can reach the decision makers with greater impact and efficiency. A reader
who is actively involved with quality content is a more qualified lead,
and is more likely to convert to a customer. Plus, IndustryBrains offers
you the convenience and reach of an ad network, but also allows you to
make specific choices within the sites we offer. Traditional ad networks
offer you distribution on branded sites, and then they place your ads
on lesser quality search engines. This dilutes the effectiveness of your
campaign.

invoiced, you must spend more than $5,500 per month with IndustryBrains.
If you're interested in setting up an invoice account, please email:

allow 3 business days for the review process.

How long will it take

If you modify your bid amount, title, description

in real time by our premium sites. It may take 15 minutes to 4 hours for
our publisher sites to update their cache.

What do you do in the case of a tie bid?
In the case of a tie bid, IndustryBrains will give
the first advertiser who bid on that term and price the higher position
in the search listings. For example, if there are 3 advertisers who bid
25 cents on a term, they will be listed in order of "seniority"
at the 25-cent price. This feature adds even more value to being the first
to bid on terms that currently have no bid, and to be the top bidder.

back to search listing FAQs
Can I change my keywords
in the middle of a campaign?
You can change your keywords whenever you like.
Be sure to note that any changes to keywords, URLs and descriptions will
start up the 3-5 day approval process again. Remember that we are a Pay
for Performance ad network, but we also want to maintain editorial integrity
for our publishers and listings. In addition, publishers have a right
to remove listings that are not in line with their listing guidelines.

How do I know what to bid
on each search term?
You can logon to http://www.industrybrains.com

for them. You may also use our Current Bid tool to get help on appropriate
keywords for your site and how much you should bid. In addition, upon

each search term so you can adjust accordingly.

back to search listing FAQs
What should I include in
my Site Description?
Your description is your opportunity to draw people
to your site. In a brief paragraph not exceeding 35 words, you should
quickly tell the audience about your site. It may even be prudent to include
some of the MAIN keywords so users know that your site is what they are
looking for.

back to search listing FAQs
Are there any restrictions
as to what I can write for my site description?
IndustryBrains understands that each advertiser
may have their own unique way of marketing their site. However, we must
maintain some editorial and pricing integrity with our advertisers. Our
Listing Editors will refuse any listing that may have an unrelated search
term associated with the URL. Also, if an adult advertiser claims that
it is not, IndustryBrains has the right to refuse the listing as well
as listings in the future.

For now, YES. We are currently working on a tool

results.

back to search listing FAQs
Why do I need to choose
my target audience?
To ensure that your listing is targeted to the
right audience, we have entered in a filter for our advertisers. For example,
IBM may cater to a consumer and business-to-business audience. One listing
may only be applicable to the Consumer audience and the other may only
be applicable to the Business-to-Business audience. To ensure that our
advertisers get the most out of the money they are paying per click, we
have this functionality.
back
to top |
back to search listing FAQs
Is it more expensive to
bid on a keyword in the B2B or Consumer space?
No. The minimum bid for both sectors is 25 cents.
As a result of our Consumer vs. B2B filtering capabilities, advertisers
will appear in the most relevant site, bringing them the most qualified
buyers. Cost Per Clicks are dependant on the search term.
back
to top |
back to search listing FAQs
Can I specify a rank and
have my listing appear in that rank forever?
No. We do not allow for this type of arrangement
under any circumstances. We operate using an open bidding system, where
each advertiser can outbid the other in order to reach their desired position
within our search results. To achieve the top position on any keyword
that you are bidding on, simply bid higher. Only one listing can hold
the number one position at one time.
back
to top |
back to search listing FAQs
Is it possible for my site
to always be at the top of the search listings?
No. IndustryBrains' search results are dynamic,
and your position in the search results may change periodically during
the day based on the bidding activities of other advertisers. We do, however,
have several tools and services that enable you to maintain your desired
position in our search results: We have a feature called "BidToTop",
which gives you the power to move some or all of your listings to the
top position quickly and easily. Current advertisers will log into their
pass word protected account center to view this feature.

Why should my IndustryTargets
ad copy be different from that of my keyword listings?
Your IndustryTargets ad should target the type
of users who might be reading about that topic. For example, it stands
to reason that a listing that appears within enterprise networking content
should target enterprise IT individuals. This could be a great place to
promote enterprise networking, security, hardware products/services. An
effective listing contains information that is relevant to the category
selected. The degree of relevancy of your listing to the categories chosen
determines the rate of purchases, registrations, and visits to your site.
Moreover, a relevant listing results in a better user experience, which
in turn generates more interest in your listing.

Billing and Payment Plans
What
payment plans do you offer?
Can I pay by check or money order?
Is my investment refundable?
I see multiple charges on my credit card during
the month. Why is that?
What payment plans
do you offer?
IndustryBrains offers three different payment plans
to suit every individual need.
Continuous Traffic Plan
- Advertisers will enjoy uninterrupted service with this plan. You will
determine an amount you would like IndustryBrains to charge your credit
card when there are 5 days of click charges left on the account. You will
receive an email notification of the charge. This ensures that your campaign
will enjoy uninterrupted success without all the hassles. IndustryBrains
takes care of everything for you.
Monthly Traffic Plan
- Do you have a fixed budget you can't go over each month? You will determine
an amount you would like to spend each month. When your balance reaches
$0, your search listings will be taken offline until the next month. At
the anniversary date of each month from the time you register, we will
charge your credit card the pre-determined amount you choose to activate
your listings again. You will receive an email notification of the charge
every month.
Pay-As-You-Go Plan
- Want to see if Industrybrains will work for you? In this plan, you pay
a minimum of $100 to activate your account and use that balance towards
click through charges to your site. When your account balance gets low,
we notify you via email that you need to replenish your account. If you
exhaust the funds in your account, we interrupt your service until you
make another deposit to cover future clickthroughs to your site.

I see multiple charges
on my credit card during the month. Why is that?
This probably means that you are getting a lot
of activity and traffic on your search term. If you wish to capture the
maximum amount of traffic without the inconvenience of receiving multiple
e-mail notices, we recommend that you increase your authorized charge
amount so that we will not need to charge your card as frequently to keep
your listings online.

Reports
What types of reports can I see?
Advertisers have access to the Performance Summary
and Billing Transaction Report. The Performance Summary report allows
an advertiser to search by timeframe and view clicks and charges on search
terms and IndustryTargets. Billing Transactions will display by time frame,
all transactions that occurred on an account. For example, all credit
card charges, click charges, etc.

Account Activity
Can I take my account offline temporarily?
Yes, you can. However, if you take your account
offline, your listing position will be lost. In order to do this, contact
clientservices@industrybrains.com.
What does it mean when my account goes offline?
It means that your account is not being charged
for clicks incurred after your account is offline. It also means that
your listing will not appear in any search results after you have made
your account offline.
Will I be charged when my account goes offline?
No, however, there will be a required balance to
reactivate your account.
