Publisher Development Manager
As a Publisher Development Manager you will be responsible for Marchex Adhere's acquisition of high quality distribution partners, large account support and will act as the central liaison between the Business Development and Advertising sales teams. Expect to spend your days pitching publishers on the Marchex Adhere product line (IBContent & IBGraphics) and working with ad sales, marketing and product development focused on expanding our current relationships as well as establishing new partnerships. Some of the specific job functions include:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop new relationships leading to new, revenue producing partnerships in the online publishing community. Analyze potential partners based on their potential value to Marchex Adhere.
- Identify opportunities to increase revenue within current installed partner base. Work closely with online publishers to optimize current programs & implement ancillary product offerings.
- Duties will include acting as the central liaison for implementing new programs, as well as prompt and proper resolution of publisher issues.
- Provide guidance to service delivery organization on specific needs, expectations, and implementation of new client programs.
- Create and maintain Business Development pipeline in Salesforce.com.
Targeted Qualifications
5+ years experience in online media in a sales or business development role.
In-depth understanding of all online advertising models (CPM, CPC, CPA, etc..)
In-depth knowledge of knowledge of publisher revenue models (Search, Contextual Ads, Display Ads, Ad Networks)
Familiarity with CRM platforms (Salesforce.com a plus)
Advertising Sales Coordinator (New York, NY)
The sales coordinator position is preparatory for many career directions. The sales coordinator's primary focus will be on account support, maintenance, marketing and sales support.

- Manage and upgrade existing advertiser accounts, ie report generation, manage account performance.

- Manage contact management database.
- General account inquiries - Act as main point of contact for all customer account issues.
- Generate and update sales proposals, presentations and sales collateral.

- Assist senior management in various administrative tasks.
Targeted Qualifications
BA/BS or equivalent.
Minimum of 1-2 years previous work experience (Internet industry ideal).
Strong applications experience (MS Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast paced, constantly evolving, team environment.
Strong project management, interpersonal and organizational skills are essential.
Must have superior analytical skills, providing advertisers another highly targeted way to reach relevant consumers.
Advertising Sales Account Executive (New York, NY)
Seeking an account executive that will be responsible for acquiring, growing and retaining relationships with advertisers and their agencies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
This person will be responsible for the overall account relationship. This dynamic individual will be an experienced salesperson with a proven track record of success in the business or consumer space.
Prospect, qualify and close sales with a large number of advertisers to drive revenue for internal network. Gain new business through inbound sales leads, phone and e-mail sales efforts with some limited travel required.
Consistently meet or exceed sales goals by understanding the company's business model, and the Internet advertising environment.
Once the sale is closed, make sure to follow up with account management to finalize account set up processes (ie keyword suggestions, payment plans, etc.).
Targeted Qualifications
1 to 2 years experience in sales role, online advertising sales experience and media sales experience are preferred.
Demonstrated success in goal oriented, highly accountable sales environment.
Superior communication skills, including presentations, phone and e-mail.
Experience with a large account base, particularly working with both new and ongoing accounts for long-term relationships.
Understanding of advertising and the Internet.
Ability to work as part of a sales team.
Comfortable in an Internet environment with little support structure; able to successfully function independently.
Productive sales person, able to handle large number of client interactions daily.
